Peter William Sutcliffe (born 2 June 1946 - 13 November 2020) was a British murderer and singer-actor. He was known more tastefully as 'the Yorkshire Ripper.'

Life and crimes[]

Sutcliffe murdered thirteen women between the years 1975 and 1980. He was incarcerated at HMP Parkhurst, and later Broadmoor High Security Hospital, for his crimes.

In the mid-1990s, it was revealed that Sutcliffe was working on an autobiographical musical stageplay, 'Sutcliffe!', in which he played himself.

'Sutcliffe!' promoter Tasscam Holiday hoped that audiences would see the musical and 'go away thinking maybe [Sutcliffe is] a really misunderstood man. Maybe that twenty years ago he was taking the piss.'

Horse-racing pundit John McCririck, however, was critical of the stageplay.
